Fifth grade has been busy learning all about the Scientific Method and performing experiments and going through the steps of the scientific method to prepare for the school science fair! Students performed multiple experiments including: learning about mixtures, matter, and chemical reactions- baking soda & water, putting gummy worm in the mixture and then vinegar to see if the worms would dance. They learned about density and carbon dioxide by making a witches brew. As well as making pumpkins puke by creating a chemical reaction with baking soda and vinegar. Then students worked in groups to create posters about one of the experiments this week.
