The first graders have been learning all about the human body. To end their studies, they had their very own medical center to practice their skills. They have learned about the digestive, skeletal, muscular, circulatory, and nervous systems. They can tell you the largest muscle in their body, how many muscles and bones that are in the human body, and how many days it takes to digest food. They have learned about germs, vaccinations, healthy food, and exercise. They earned their white oats and had "the best day ever!" They also performed surgery on a finger! Special thanks to Staci Cummings, Ryan Ruben, Shara Shamblin, and Dr. Overmiller for visiting the classroom and sharing their knowledge! Great job, future doctors!
