Your child brought home a letter from our Wellness Center last week. The letter contains information about immunizations that are required for them to start 7th grade. The immunizations required are the Tdap and the meningococcal vaccines. These requirements must be met before they can start school in August. A nurse from the Wellness Center will come to Ripley Middle School and give these immunizations, if you want your child to have them here.
Please complete the registration form and return it to school by April 28th, 2025. Our nurse will contact you with a date for the clinic once the forms are received.

Good evening RMS Family, Spring Sports and Club Pictures are coming up on Monday, April 21st. This will include, baseball, softball, track, and archery for pictures. Please make sure students come to school with all official attire for those sports. FFA is also asked to bring official dress for their picture that day.
As a reminder the end of the school year is coming up, which means the time to buy a yearbook is coming to a close very soon. We have a goal of selling 251 yearbooks and we have currently only sold 92 yearbooks. Our yearbook staff has put a lot of work into this yearbook and would love to share them with everyone. If you have an interest in buying on, there are two ways to do so. Scan the QR code on the flyer that is attached, or print off the order form and send cash or a check written to Ripley Middle School and turn that into Mr. Burgess in Room 112. If you have any questions, please email Mr. Burgess at dalton.burgess@boe.jack.k12.wv.us and he will get back to you as soon as possible. If you have any pictures that you would like to see in the yearbook, you may also email those to Mr. Burgess as well.

Good evening RMS Family, April is the Month of the Military Child. It was established in 1986 to honor kids who have a close family member who is on active duty in the military. At Ripley Middle, we have quite a few Military Connected Youth, and next week we are going to honor all military kids with a Spirit Week! It starts off with Military Monday – please remind your student to wear a shirt celebrating their favorite branch of the military on Monday. Good evening. This is a reminder that Jackson County Schools will be closed for Spring Break beginning Monday, March 24, 2025, through Friday, March 28, 2025. Also, by utilizing our NTI Days and Equivalent Time Days when schools were closed due to inclement weather, the last day of school for students is still May 30, 2025. Please have a wonderful, safe, and relaxing Spring Break.
Good evening RMS Family, just a reminder that if students miss school tomorrow for the Ripley High School Boys Basketball Tournament game, students will need to bring a parent excuse back within 3 days. RMS Spring sport athletes, reminder you will need to sign into school prior to 2:30 with game ticket in hand with name/ID number written on it, in order to participate in practice tomorrow after school. Game ticket will be used as parent note to allow RMS student athletes to practice.
Also, reminder for students signing out for the game will need to be signed out by a guardian or will need to have a parent note turned in stating who will be signing them out. Thank you and go Vikings!

Only students who missed school pictures in September and students whose parent/guardian is ordering pictures are permitted to have their picture taken tomorrow.
